TAMPA, FL, July 15, 2023 – Yesterday, Tampa Sister Cities (TSC), in collaboration with the French American Chamber Of Commerce of West Florida (FRAMCO) and Union of French Expatriates Tampa Bay (UFE Tampa Bay), celebrated Bastille Day, the French National Day, at the local French hotspot, Chez Faby. The event aimed to strengthen cultural ties between the United States and France while allowing the local community to engage in multicultural festivities.
The celebrations kicked off at 6:00 PM, with a warm welcome by the FRAMCO and UFE President, who thanked the event partners and emphasized the importance of cultural diversity and international goodwill. The audience included dignitaries, business leaders, TSC members, French expatriates, and local enthusiasts of French culture.
Attendees had the opportunity to experience a mini French world in Tampa. The evening included a display of French culinary delights and a variety of French-themed activities. A standout feature of the evening was the traditional French cuisine served at Chez Faby, which included quiche, Le Taboulé, meats and cheeses, and various French pastries. The cuisine was paired with an exquisite selection of French wines.
The Bastille Day celebration at Chez Faby was a resounding success, reflecting the strong cultural bond between Tampa and its sister city in France, Le Havre. Tampa Sister Cities, FRAMCO, and UFE Tampa Bay would like to thank all attendees and contributors who made this event memorable.
