South Dublin County Council is the local authority for the county. The county contains both dense suburbs of Dublin and stretches of unpopulated mountain.

Each year, the City of Tampa dyes the Hillsborough River green to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. People from all over come to Downtown Tampa and Curtis Hixon Park to have food and drinks, and listent to live music while enjoying the green river. Saint Patrick's Day, or the Feast of Saint Patrick Irish La Fheile Padraig, the Day of the Festival of Patrick, is a cultural and religious celebration held on 17 March.
