Simply put, we owe our volunteers the world. Our programs would not be as successful as they are without their dedicated support. At the same time, our volunteers experience things with us that they couldn’t find anywhere else, learning new skills, making friends, developing interests and enjoying the rewards of being involved in something bigger.
Program support volunteers work with Sister Cities youth programs to prepare materials, facilitate group learning activities and encourage relationship building between students who may be from different countries and speak different languages. They offer assistance by supplementing transportation, helping with translation and blogging and photographing programs to create a legacy for others to experience. It is through the dedication of volunteers that our programs and exchanges are successful, many of which have garnered national awards.
