TAMPA SISTER CITIES HOSTS ROYAL RECEPTION FOR BARRANQUILLA CARNAVAL QUEEN NATALIA DE CASTRO GONZALEZ

TAMPA, FL, July 28, 2023 Tampa Sister Cities (TSC) was pleased to host a royal reception in honor of the 2023 Barranquilla Carnaval Queen, Natalia de Castro Gonzalez, on July 24th. The event underscored the strong cultural ties and diplomatic relations between Tampa and its sister city, Barranquilla, Colombia.

TSC members, leaders from the Tampa Bay Colombian Community, and key figures from the city were in attendance, reflecting the significance of this diplomatic encounter. The event encapsulated a spirit of community and international friendship.

The evening was even more memorable when Tampa City Council Chairman, Guido Maniscalco, presented Queen Natalia with a commendation from the Tampa City Council, reflecting the city’s admiration and appreciation for her ambassadorship and cultural influence.

"This commendation is a testament to the bond that has been nurtured and grown between Tampa and Barranquilla, as well as the rest of Colombia," said Chairman Maniscalco. "We were honored to host Queen Natalia and look forward to our continued friendship."
